To bring Mecha Month into full swing (after our April Fools debacle… ugh), we start off with Beast King Go Lion or, as it’s called in America, Voltron: Defender of the Universe. We selected this show because we wanted to see what they’d changed.
… how can two shows be so similar, yet so completely different?

This week, we did a request by MadShadow, over at the Desu Des Brigade Forums.
In the not too distant future (somewhere in time and space)… In what is most likely Japan, humanlike androids are as common as toaster ovens. Yes, that’s right. Everyone has a robot maid… but apparently, nobody uses them for naughty purposes. Maybe this isn’t Japan after all…

This time, we went into a show blind. We knew nothing about it, we knew nothing about the popular opinion of it, we didn’t even know its genre. But we knew one thing:
It had one of the greatest titles ever.
It also had one of the worst titles ever.
Such is the magic of Engrish.
